Absolutely. Philly went all in on their academy, and have spent more money on it any other team in MLS as far as I can tell. Rapids academy is ok, but not even close to that level.

Oli leaving is a bummer, though I question how much traction he’s really going to get in Europe, so maybe he’ll come back. If he is gone, then keeping Ronan has value, unless they are adding more pieces in midfield. Atencio needs to have a big step up next season and be the guy at the 6.

For all of these, because they need to be aligned philosophically to avoid a complete rebuild. A deeper dive from that perspective would be interesting though outside scope. Appreciate the info on Pa Modu Kah not being a good personality, that’s the kind of stuff us Supporters have no insight into.

I enjoyed it! I’ve been very clear that Jim Curtin is not a viable candidate because he’s passed on better jobs and been clear he wants to remain in the N.E. geography. I love the Vincente love, dunno if he’d take it or how his coaching philosophy lines up with Padraig’s. That’s the big question

Good writeup of a bad season. One thing that stuck out glaringly: the Rapids are almost uniformly bad at passing. Giving the ball away cheaply was often their downfall this season. With Djordje, the lone exception, gone we desperately need good passers.
