Once a month for the past 4-5 years, I have had to perform a work task that takes about 5-6 hours. It is not difficult, but tedious. Today, I found a button in the app that basically says, "Push this button to perform the task in 5 seconds". It took 5 seconds. That button has always been there. 🤦

I went through and cleaned up my website and did some SEO work. I pruned the posts that referenced defunct sites like Microsoft Virtual Academy, Microsoft's Born to Learn, Old SQL Saturdays, etc. I went from 360 posts to 240. It was fun to see the evolution over 15 years. SQLMCT.com

I went through and cleaned up my website and did some SEO work. I pruned the posts that referenced defunct sites like Microsoft Virtual Academy, Microsoft's Born to Learn, Old SQL Saturdays, etc. I went from 360 posts to 240. It was fun to see the evolution over 15 years. SQLMCT.com

Documenting for future me. If you are trying to CREATE VECTOR INDEX in the pre-release of SQL Server 2025, documentation was to turn on Trace Flags 466, 474, and 13981. This will cause an error message of 343 on SQL Server 2025 RTM. So, be sure to turn these off. DBCC TRACEOFF(466, 474, 13981, -1)
