Look Scarlet/Violet had it's problems for sure but compared to Sword and Shield it was freaking amazing. I *like* Scarlet/Violet. I have nothing but disdain for Sword/Shield.

Not just because I'm British and feel attacked by it, but it just wasn't good. No story and poor design.
