Privileged to spend today with Ted Alexander and a little of his incredible archive of camping memorabilia, including more than 100 pre-1970s tents
The picture shows 87-year-old Ted in khaki shorts showing Rich-the-videographer some photos of his cycle camping tour of Ireland in the 1990s. It's taken in Ted's living room, with several photo albums and the odd Primus stove on the coffee table.

I'm trying really hard to believe AI can be beneficial, but it's making it hard... IngramSpark's virtual assistant says: "I'm ever so sorry, but I'm unable to provide details about our products and services."
This shows a set of screenshots of a chat conversation between me and IngramSpark's AI chat bot. The crux of it can be summed up in two of the quotes - "I'm ever so sorry but I am unable to provide details about our products and services" and when I asked what it was there for, it said it was "designed to offer a warm and welcoming experience... and to connect you to a live agent if you request it." When I requested it, I'm told "I didn't get that".

A view from the driving seat of a new Renault 5 with yellow fabric on the inside of the door and glimpsed on the passenger seat beside me. The steering wheel is strangely squared off with a big Renault logo in the centre. There are two screens on show - on big table-like thing in the centre of the car showing a navigation screen and another in front of me showing I haven't fastened my seatbelt but I'm doing zero miles per hour. You can also see my legs, clad in blue jeans, below the steering wheel.

A lovely event to celebrate the launch of Libby's book yesterday. She's doing a second book-signing at our local independent bookshop, Kenilworth Books, on 7 June.

She's wearing a denim jacket, so you can't quite see the orange dress underneath, but it matches the orange balloons that are in the foreground of the picture, along with a couple of copies of Undone, the book she's promoting. Back on the campsite reviewing for Camping & Caravanning magazine the sunshine. Tough life, but somebody's got to do it.
An unusual, rugged off-road caravan sits on a hardstanding pitch on a campsite in the Midlands. Lauren is seen climbing inside and there are lots of outdoor style things such as bikes and a canoe around it.

Just been watching Boom XB-1 and it's first supersonic flight, live. It feels historic, not least because I only found out about it 2mins into the flight through the wonders of social media. It can work for good!

Very proud to have regained the top position here, having lost it briefly in 2023, when local tea supplies were so poor I often had to visit Coventry to stock up
