I moved to the south of France from London nine months ago. It was an immediate cure after 50 years of truly constant destructive misery and anticipation of yet another migraine. No idea why, it just happened.

It's all right for you and Polly, rich and with fall-back plans. The state pension is less than £12,000 a year max. Are you both seriously saying pensioners deserve to be beggared more than they are?

Vous pourriez faire très facilement un gateau aux pommes ou prunes avec une recette que ma soeur m'a envoyé. La tarte est une éponge avec zest d'orange. C'est le deuxième gateau que j'ai préparé depuis presque 50 ans.

La recette est dans ALT

Gateau aux prunes ou pommes:

110g beurre doux, 110g sucre, 150g self-raising flour, 2 oeufs larges, le zeste d'une orange grande.

Mélangez tous avec un mixeur électrique. Mettez dans une plaque de cuisson. Ajoutez au-dessus 3 ou 4 pommes coupées en tranches. Ou prunes. Saupoudrez cinq cuillères de sucre au-dessus.

Mettre dans le four à 200C pour vers 40 minutes plus ou moins.

Quand le gateau est tiède, versez au-dessus le jus d'orange qui reste.

Servez avec crème anglaise

If they adopt a French-style ID system, you will have to go and register all your fingerprints at the local office. Plus tell them the DOB and place of birth of your parents.

Just imagine all that info with Reform in charge.

Ah but none of them have your full fingerprints...

I recently enquired about getting a French "carte d'identité" and they insisted I would have to give them my fingerprints as well as my photo, parents' ages, their DOBs and country of origin.

Now that is control.

In the UK an interviewing panel is specifically NOT allowed to ask such questions. That could allow the victim to automatically take out a case for discrimination.

I hope your relative gets a transcript of the interview and sues them for inappropriate questioning. Though I realise our laws differ.

If the Greens allow in Labour defectors, who stuck loyally to the LP during the "antisemitism crisis", the election of Starmer, saw the Labour Files, Martin Forde's report and the unfolding genocide and said...nothing... aren't the Greens cruising for a bruising sometime?

Given that the full state pension is £11,973 a year, pensioners would often be kicked out anyway, under the annual income requirements.

This glorious Leucate day, I spotted 15 cormorants, c 100 great egrets, c 200 flamingos, a starling murmuration, one grey and one trotty wagtail, c 200 jackdaws and c 100 crows.

The joy you get, watching things through binoculars. But fuksake what's with my neighbours complaining about my homework?
