I'm working on the cover for the next issue of @spokanesequential.bsky.social and I am proud to report I've drawn the gayest vampire ever.

Red State Resilience. I made this comic, which @spokanesequential.bsky.social published in their September issue.

The situation in Idaho is grim. But we have solidarity and hope as long as we have each other.

Every other art form i have tried BESIDES comics, is less difficult than comics.

Its CRAZY how much work comics is. Its exhausting. Its so much endless labor.

On the other hand now everything else feels easier so now i am very powerful like a shonen anime character taking off his limiters.

We're still taking submissions for the next Spokane Sequential, through Monday October 6! For submission details you can hit up our website right here: spokanesequential.neocities.org/submissions

Flyer and art by @slimecloud.bsky.social!
Lovely "Curse" flyer by Nanette Cloud, showing an unlucky person getting zapped by lightning and an invitation to make comics for Spokane Sequential. Perhaps making comics could have prevented this tragic fate...

It's next issue prompt time! We'll be aiming for an October release, and the suggested theme is "Curse." (Try not to go overboard on swearing.) Submissions are open through Monday, October 6. Full guidelines and a page template are on our webpage, and we can't wait to hear from you!
A headless horseman-type figure (no horse though) is pushing his pumpkin head around on a dolly. The head looks pretty happy about it.

We're pushing our deadline back for the next issue a tad, so anybody rushing to finish this Friday (or thinking of starting right now!) has all of next weekend to finish up, if they like working on comics on weekends, anyway! (We certainly do!) The new date is Monday, Aug 11, hope to see you then!
A "call for submissions" poster. "Burning the midnight oil to get those wild things out? Have a little extension!" Text is accompanied by a picture of an old man and his floppy cat searching for something by candlelight. A large cow looms ominously behind them.

my latest comic for @spokanesequential.bsky.social following the theme “noisy,” i went a little more serious with this one than my previous submissions inspired by what i’ve been up to in therapy :')

you can read more comics in the full issue on their neocities site!

#art #comic #comicart
Three panel comic reflecting on how noisy and happy and carefree I was as a child, while now as an adult I am........... less so
spokanesequential.bsky.social
Incidentally, with this issue, the total comic pages in the "rebooted" Spokane Sequential has surpassed the total pages in the old one! (You can read those on the website, too!) It's not a contest or anything... I just like to observe number go up.
spokanesequential.bsky.social
Feel free to get inspired by these and send something in for the next issue--we're taking submissions through August 8! :D
spokanesequential.bsky.social
Comics are up from our Spring Issue! Read 'em up at our website, why dontcha!

Our lovely cover by Nadia Hitchcock with colors by Nanette Cloud, depicting a noisy, rainbow-filled bike ride Excerpt from Forest Song by Robin Daehling. A quiet river burbles, and a chickadee sings its song. Excerpt from "What was That" by Walt Carlson. A dog and a woman puzzle out the source of a strange sound at night (the dog is confident it was not a ghost) Excerpt from "Rowdy Ruckus" by Jose Nunez. "SCREEEEEEEEEE!" An old man's peace and quiet is disturbed by the cool band practicing in the apartment upstairs

I'm not Nanette's sock puppet account at all but I also agree.
spokanesequential.bsky.social
I forgot to post my graphic xD
Wild Submissions are open through Friday Aug 8! Full deets on our webpage! spokanesequential.neocities.org
a disco dancing lion implores you to send us your comics! Admittedly he doesn't look like he's begging, he's dancing and having a good time, but that's the only way he has to keep the demons at bay. His heart is a deep void that only locally-made comics can fill.
spokanesequential.bsky.social
Did you know our next theme is WILD????? Start thinking up those new comics :)
