so far, for me, the rome experience was seeing hundreds and hundreds of pieces of amazing, historical works of art from like the neolithic times to the middle ages and then getting to the end of the vatican museums and being like "damn I really fuck with modern art"

this is the first hostel I’ve stayed at since I was like 21 ish and I’m mostly enjoying it because I love being extroverted and having bizarre conversations with strangers. but I am not enjoying how the dorm is infringing on my usual ‘lounging around in towel’ time and daily call to my mom

I asked my hostel manager if I could borrow scissors (because the country of greece stole mine) and he went on a huge rant about how he WOULD, but the children steal all his scissors, and then he took me behind his desk to show me the stapled leash he fashioned to his very last pair of scissors lol

the sweatiest girl in athens checked into her hostel, took a shower, went grocery shopping, and saw her first cats. also kinda forgot that the first couple days of solo travel SUCKS especially when you’re sick. luckily I just need to stay awake 4 more hours and my sisters will be here on friday ☺️
had to sprint through half of the amsterdam airport and I only made thanks to the grace of god and the immigration agents but I am officially the sweatiest girl on the plane to athens ✌️

the sweatiest girl in athens checked into her hostel, took a shower, went grocery shopping, and saw her first cats. also kinda forgot that the first couple days of solo travel SUCKS especially when you’re sick. luckily I just need to stay awake 4 more hours and my sisters will be here on friday ☺️

the eve before long term travel problem of waking up three hours before your alarm absolutely convinced that you’ve picked the wrong carry-on, blearily unpacking everything in the new bag and repacking it in the old one, only to discover that YES you should have packed it this way in the first place

It is truly wonderful of the pnw to try and murder me with pollen allergies the last weekend I am here. please, continue to make me suffer. I am juggling antihistamines and a sore throat with only major bitching & moaning, it’s fine
