I think Dyna's thread articulates something I've long struggled to put into words. I'm happiest with my art when I am not able to speak for it, when it's able to dream its own dreams. It feels like "illustration" when it merely functions as a kind of visual explanation of an idea.

i think successful art has mystery in it. in painting mystery can make you stay with a work longer, and it can be in structure or the subject, even both. i think a lot of the time illustration is lacking mystery.

Consensual Non-Consent In Real Life A 3 panel comic Panel 1: Kink Negotiation Blushing Person: I was thinking maybe we could try out some CNC play...
