Mein einziges Amazon-Gerät ist ein Kindle PW von 2014. Er wurde scheinbar vergessen in der Werbeoffensive und das, obwohl es das werbefinanzierte Modell ist. Er funktioniert einfach. Offline. Mit Originalakku.

Vermutlich ein Versehen bei Design & Herstellung.

Yes that might be a good hint... It tells to use this password when 2FA is activated, so should work also for long passwords.

The textbox limits to 16 characters and upon entering the first half a password denies telling the password might be wrong or not 6 to 16 characters.

Xbox live only allows 16 characters. Error suggesting password has to be 6 to 16 chars. (I'm German)

Typical Microsoft, I would say.
If I remember correctly the box does not let you enter more than 16 chars so you don't have to guess for too long... Just a nuisance when you want to quickly start a game because you need a different device to change the password (of course).

You just need a Microsoft account with a password with less than 16 chars otherwise you can't log in

Vielleicht war er ja so betrunken, dass er nicht wusste wo oben und unten ist und lag auf dem Rücken und sie wollte ihm eigentlich nur hoch helfen und ist gestolpert und Zack drin. Seht ihr, sowas passiert stääändig, da muss man nicht sofort immer Absicht unterstellen. Nenene...der arme Mann.
