the first 3 roughs of what im working on rn are finally posted and able to be seen on patreon. nothing substantial just yet. heres a more finalized version of that cover i posted a few days ago!

Pumpkin painting yesterday!!

My creepy pumpkin. Technique used involved wet on wet, dark colors first, then loading up
the paintbrush to create very noticeable strokes. Water dripping gives part of it a melted effect, but one eye is visible, the nose and teeth are a bit abstracted.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

it made me very emotional. so few resources exist outside of online spaces to learn and retell of queer history like this, specifically always erasing trans people and the oppression they have faced, but seeing such a popular candidate acknowledge all of it amazed me. let’s get him in there!!!

I got worried at my current job that it would fade (just liking how the job helps me contribute and make a tangible difference in the world) but it didn’t! I still have good/bad days but overall the feeling that I’m doing something I’m proud of helps me work harder :)
