I like that during the 80s all you needed to be successful in anime was a cool giant robot design and a weird name like Dougram or Dorvack or Xabungle or Galatt.

The Crash Man theme alone is worthy of effusive praise!
In fiction we like to give villains backstory and nuance as motivation for their actions to make them more "realistic," but most villains in real life are just greedy, self-centered sociopaths who enjoy hurting people different than themselves.

They really tried hard to make him into their own Horst Wessel. Unfortunately for them and their narrative it wasn't a communist who killed him.
To me a dog-eared book tells a story. Someone read this book, stopped at this particular page on their way through it. The more dog ears it has the more it tells me that it was a well-loved book.
I've only read a few of her books so far, but I think my favorite is Foreigner.
