Anyway I think Utawarerumono (and specifically probably Mask of Truth) might be my fav SRPG gameplay wise. The Utawarerumono series in general does a great job at making every character feel distinct in battle. 100line fans that like the gameplay should play this I'm just saying

Like I'm being somewhat serious here if your enjoyment of a video game comes solely from characters and story, either stick to VNs or something I don't think the video game medium is for you if you treat it like it's equivalent to a book

And I'm also the kind of person that judges games by different standards. World design, music, gameplay, and story are all stuff I look at but I'm not the kind person that thinks if a game's story is bad I think the entire game is bad that's ridiculous lol (I'd only make an exception for VNs maybe)

I complain a lot about certain games but I actually don't really hate or dislike a lot of games, most of the complaints come from a place of "what ifs" that would've made my experience better by at least tenfold. I do have good things to say about stuff I complain about I just don't voice it much
