Where does pf2e sit on this? Given they also have "grand/epic failure" Is it in the traditional binary since it's mirrored, or is it also a bare success/bare failure system?

it's also the general 0th rule of TTRPG I guess! Rule 0 best rule. Have fun, and "GM gets the final say" (meaning over even rules)
