I started doing it because I put my raised beds next to a black walnut and couldn’t grow peppers and tomatoes. But now I get 10 ft cherry tomatoes.

Look up straw bale gardening. There’s a book but you don’t need it.
I followed the instructions to fertilize the bales and water them, but after a few years I realized I could use a lot less if I let them sit longer.
Once the inside breaks down you can add transplants.

I’ve made a few of my own mixes trying to recreat Chinese paints I had that weren’t lightfast.

I get really frustrated doing watercolor sometimes bc I’m trying to match by digital sketch or I can’t get it as dark as ink.

So I just stated a 2nd version and threw some granulating mixes at it.
