This is a great article! It clearly highlights how redirecting public funds to private schools undermines the resources needed for quality public education. Public schools are the foundation of our democracy and it is essential that we prioritize funding for them.
It’s concerning that the Greater Victoria School District was asked for a more detailed safety plan than other districts, despite their efforts to consult stakeholders and comply. Their dismissal by Minister Beare feels undemocratic and lacking in transparency.
