Starting to find the proliferation of G+ in every piece of analysis to be a little … frustrating? Annoying? Especially because it is meant, as the author says here, to measure “general impact” writers just toss it in an article and think it stands on its own.

At about 70% of my Twitter followers after a year on Bluesky exclusively.

Engagement on my posts is roughly equivalent even with fewer followers …EXCEPT for the absence of reply guys. Bluesky is not full of dudes who follow you just so they can disagree and argue on every post you make.

Here’s how I tried to do it at the start of the season—just looking at roster additions and subtractions. Biggest miss was Vancouver. I still think Austin is correct. We did do the most in the offseason to improve the team. We’re close to the best season outside of 2022.

A more mobile friendly, updated version of my offseason tracker. More arrows up = more good. More down = more bad. Hyphen = means more or less flat. But that's not necessarily bad, especially for LAFC, who had 1.88PPG last season.

It’s extremely common for MLS teams to play horribly after a 3 days rest on a big mid week game. I applaud Nico for going for it… but he probably should have just rotated and parked the bus rather than play the starters.
