For me, I'm not going to prep a burner phone, etc, to participate my town's No Kings rally this Sat, Oct 18. Differs by location, but here it's a rally. 🦄

Just to add, as a PSA:

^ Turns out I didn't achieve that in my 40's, but I did try to help out friends and neighborhoods, and their kids, and senior neighbors, when I can. and that's not nothing. Also I sleep until 1 pm on weekends. so that's not nothing!

sometimes I feel mildly insulted, that nobody I love ever thought I should have kids. Sometimes I feel like, well that's probably good advice, but what does that say about their view of me? Then I remember: it means they love me. They want me to be able to travel and write a book in my 40s.

I understand that ppl experience pressure to have children.
For me, I haven't. Nobody's ever questioned my decision not to have kids of my own. In fact, that one time, years ago, I thought I want a kid with my lovely boyfriend then. I asked my dad, and he said: that's a TERRIBLE idea. so I never did

LLMs will not come up with anything new, no fun new perversions or anything interesting. No candid expression of a desire. They will just talk ad nauseam about how much fun they're about to have, how grateful they are the other is here, how interesting this experience is about to be!

I mean, have people seen those videos where someone holds two phones so that two LLMs can talk to each other? They can talk forever about what an interesting conversation they're about to have. So interesting, it will be! it's the "I dunno, what do YOU want to do?"

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but on most days of remembrance of a given person, it's important to pause and reflect upon their life's work. One gesture of honoring them is to share their public quotes that exemplify their priorities, the principles they treasured, and their vision for society.

It's just so outrageous (in a terrifying way, not a fun way) that this is factually true, about it becoming 2026 soon. If I had a friend who said this outloud to me, I'd block them.

Today somebody said, while in my presence, in a neutral tone they just casually said, Isn't it weird how in 6 weeks it will be 2026?

They are no longer my friend. They do not know me at all, nor grasp what I can tolerate emotionally. I promptly blocked them on all venues. Fuck them.

Donnie. I know people are joking about US toddlers mushing up rotting soybeans into oil. That illustrates the lack of a current production pipeline. But your bigger prob might be that soybean oil = a seed oil, which your head of HHS has declared "toxic."

And I'd venture to guess, the "living in fear" question often comes from a person who's terrified to take a public bus and who can't go one hour without tracking their teen's location on FindMy.

I agree, boxes of blue surgical masks (at entrances of health care facilities, etc) are still way too common and should be replaced w/ better masks.
But among people I know who regularly mask to prevent the spread of Covid (in either direction), a well-fitted KN95 or better seems pretty standard.

Maybe for some ppl, it can be an on-ramp to caring about humans. I assume there are many low-information/ MSM news-trusting people who think everyone being abducted somehow "deserves" it, must be "criminals," etc. ICE shooting family dogs might jar them awake, aka poor puppers is innocent bystander.
