I did get a new PC this week, but the weather has been so gloomy that I’ve had no ambition to plug it in to start testing stream quality or even just see if the rhythm games run better without stutters. Hell, I’ve done nothing this week but cross-check IIDX CS scores.

I don’t have faith that I’ll reach World rank in DDR World. But I want one more good weekend to travel and chase it.

So, my 32” Ultragear monitor is only 3 years old and has been awesome for rhythm games (and Fightcade), but I’m curious. Is there something new and better in that size? Can I mix-match with a second non-LG monitor for OBS? ITG will still be played on the SMX.

I could be playing one of the many unbeaten games in my library that I keep thinking of downsizing, or even a rhythm or fighting game. Instead I’m letting IIDX give me a headache again and all I’m doing is cross-checking every CS score because I’m shy about 10k EX and 20 lamps.

Maybe my eyes just suck, but I’m really not into the lighting used in today’s games.I get it that graphics are near realism now, but daylight is too much. I can’t look at it for very long. That’s a huge reason why I don’t talk about or play many new AAA games outside of fighters.

I really don’t know anymore if it’s the change in weather coming, allergies, or my equilibrium acting up again, but I’ve been feeling off-balance the past couple days. I felt good enough to play SMX on Sunday, but have been out of it since.

I’ve followed Cavalera Conspiracy since Inflikted!! They’ve become one of my favorite metal bands of this generation! This is awesome news and an awesome track!
I gotta stop looking at my phone and headlines so damn much, especially while I’m in my downtime. Not even completely about a lot of stuff sucking, but I’ve let it impact my motivation to either play new stuff, practice harder, let alone prioritize my health overall.

Tried some new Monarch shoes. They were too heavy and I was missing shit. Went back to a pair of Brooks I’ve had for a few years. Better choice. Still wish Nike would just make my damn Lunar Fingertraps again.

Taking a couple weeks off from SMX to work on ITG and DDR Extreme songs for Dash Dance. But also have been needing a small break to dodge burnout. Been playing just SMX for 6 months outside of tournaments.
