I feel like it might be the easy way out to blame the current administration but it probably goes back well further than that.

Halloween care package dispatched to fly over to the ancient and misty green fields and hills of Great Britain.

...It's been a while since I had to ship to the UK...when did that exorbitant shipping cost thing happen?

I'm just here to give salad ideas. Can you tell that we have a salad-based diet in our home.

OR...hear me out on this. Panzanella with grilled chunked sour dough and fresh mozzarella with your peaches.

I love peaches (or nectarines) in a salad, either grilled or just the way they are. Often they work nicely with steak in a salad, bleu if you want and crispy croutons. Red onion is my go to and it's good with a balsamic or a mustardy home made vinaigrette.

Also if you like radicchio (I see it in your pic)...a head of it w/segmented red grapefruit, red onion, and some pumpkin or sunflower seeds...dressed with the rest of the juice from the grapefruit & olive oil.

Last night I did arugula w/ pear, bleu cheese, red onion, cucumber, a little roast chicken & walnuts, with good EVOO & some lovely complex small production balsamic. Cracked black pepper & flaky Malden sea salt are always required.

It looks like a nice one! All about picking base & contrast flavors, having varying textures, and making some eye candy of it!

I've been slowly working into runes...And I haven't fully dove into the deities, though I've read some of the folklore. The goddess who reached out to me is not originally from any tradition that I can claim, but when a deity reaches out I'm willing to accept that gift no matter how unlikely.

The drawing of a werewolf in woodland at night used is the collage is the main illustration for the story "The Werewolf Howls". Internal illustration from the pulp magazine Weird Tales (November 1941, vol. 36, no. 2, page 38).
Black-and-white illustration of a werewolf in a dark woodland at night, crouched in a clearing with clawed hands, silhouetted against the full moon shining through twisted trees.

Anyone who is in need of excellent & friendly audio production and cutting out AI should be talking to Fitz. I love a lot of peoples’ podcasts, but some of y’all should really be talking to him to uplift your end results. ;)

AI has tanked my audio production business, exchange rates and the cost of living crisis have tanked my English tutoring and, as someone with health conditions that needs to social distance, the remote jobs have all dried up with RTO.

Pretty desperate for work if anyone knows of anything!

Thanks Fred. I appreciate it. I’ve sent an email of my own to another of their email addresses letting them know. When I heard about it, I was like “Yeah, I think there’s one person I can probably guarantee who has it."

@homosatanis.bsky.social do you have "Voices From Space” by Friedrich Jürgenson (1964)? I apologize if you’ve had this question recently. You’re about the only person I know who might.

My Swedish ancestors did the same when they came to the US. I feel such a loss of their heritage and culture because of their desire to Americanize.

I made butternut squash soup and chile rellenos with the last of the season’s poblanos…

There’ll be more… my timing sucks this week. We’re in the zone on NY which is famous for apple production. I’m also picky…I could have had cider, just not the good stuff.
snowintheair.bsky.social
The only reason I wasn’t using regular apple cider is that they don’t have the really good local one I favor… soon enough. Cider and bourbs or rum with lots of lemon.

Come by some day, you’re one of the few I’d share the fire and drinks with.

Noooooo. The cask strength bourbon took care of it.
