Overall I feel this is my favourite 3D Vania, still have to play Legacy of Darkness but this felt like a very good blueprint for a future that never materialized. Hopefully all the 3d Games will receive a collection in the future just for ease of access. Sorry for the long answer XD

On MGS and SH, because even games like Suikoden 5 which came out in 2006, looked and felt like a very early PS2 game, you can even see they ran out of money in Dracula's castle which is the same corridor and arena room copy pasted throughout the entire stage...

The random weapons like the spiked bat that leave you attacking like a baseball batter on the home base, useless yeah but a funny joke. I agree that the areas look really boxy and the game overall feel cheap, I always had the feeling that Konami was just focusing all of their budget...

First of alla the musci in absolutely incredible, I feel is some of Michiru Yamane's best work, and while it's true that the ID don't really add much in the gameplay, I loved to see all the different evolutions, and even see all the different weapons combinations that could pop up especially...

I love this game! It has a lot of problems, first of all for me the walking speed is agonizingly slow and in some areas you can really feel it, some areas have a massive spike of difficulty, and the way you upgrade both equipment and ID is very grindy, but I cannot help but being sucked into it...
