The old leather factory in Aura.
The factory was built in the 1920s and in the 1930s it was Finland's largest manufacturer of sole leather. The factory has been empty since the 1970s.
I think it is the finest attraction in Aura.
There is something special in abandoned houses. The past is present.

I'm an artesan of ancient techniques by training. Every now and then it's nice to be able to use the skills I learnt at school and now I'm working on a deer skin into a hide. I've been making a fat-tanning and there's just one last thing to do, the softening.
