The pain turns more to laughter over time as we remember them by the light they brought us rather than the gaping hole they left by their abscence. But the hole is still there. It won't, can't be fixed.

TW: Death. Here in sweden, Allhelgonadagen is the day we go and light candles on the graves of family. Have been unable to go.
I have cried for multiple familymembers I am missing.

It strikes me that it feels more like.. waiting. We cry, there is nothing we can do, and so we just.. wait.

What.. are you? This one folder has two different names depending on where you are looking at it from. Either it has 1.1.2 on the end, or 1.1.0.
It's not a symlink, nor a hardlink, nor a reparse point.
It's @pokemonsinfinite.bsky.social 's launcher, that might be getting removed. :')

Why the FUCK would you do this? I get why. Corporate greed. But it was a relatively light environment, with less of the crust of worse editors. I feel *ill*.
Especially with the fact that they disable features in forks.

It just feels like if I invest time into creating integrations for any of it, there is a very real risk of getting nuked from orbit without it being fixable. (Suvidriel seems like an absolute sweetheart, to be clear, but standard "You are not friends because you watch them" applies :P)

I'm curious, are there any half decent open source vtubing software? vnyan and vseeface are both closed source. Warudo has.. questionable licensing at best, they are very secretive about what will happen if you become 'popular'. Not that I expect to be.

Also, they have literally not solved llm's accelerating delusions and fucking up the mental health of their users because that's not what it does. It tries to be helpful. It *trust* you. If you tell it gremlins are after you, it will buy it, and act accordingly.

If you *are* going to use LLM's or similar, use as *old*, open models you feel comfortable with and *stick to that model*.

They are not that harsh to run, locally, energy wise. Less than playing a computer game. What is burning the world up is the *training*, which is monstrous.

Respectful debates

four frame comic. someone with a microphone is doing a voxpop in front of a supermarket. he asks a buff guy with a red cap : sir! in the wake of Charlie Kirk's death, do you think the left is incapable of respectful debates? the guy replies : kirk thought women, people of colour and trans people didn't deserve their rights. Entertaining his ideas in a debate is actively legitimizing them. Why did he only debate college kids instead of other pro debaters like himself? he wasn't interested in debates, he was on a mission to radicalize the youth by normalizing his hateful discourse in the public space. which is precisely what he has been accusing teachers who were making their classrooms inclusive of doing, as he was doxxing them on his website to ruin their lives. is that your idea of a "respectful debate"?
