Is that Geocities mashed up with a Goose? Cuz I'm so in!
Thirteen episodes in before we managed an "oops... all bits" drop. Today's minisode of "You Gotta Check This Out" features all the non-Babylon 5 tangents from last week. Our guest Taylor Anthony did not let us down.

Thank you beans! My current goal is for every one of my podcast subscriptions on the home screen to feature MVB art. I'll cheat on one by commissioning him for my podcast, but every lil bit o' MVB helps.
For certain. The time to mince words is past. We must be clear and direct if we care about getting messages across the aisle, that's how it must be.
Neo-dadaism is here, baby!
Peacemaker 2 finale just taught me five new ways to cry. Thanks, James.

This episode has Mike running afoul with the fashion police for, spoiler alert, not the first time. And Richard Moll aka Bull from Night Court and Two-Face from BTAS is dressed up as Blade … on a space station.
Latest episode of You Gotta Check This Out! Is on the feed. Our guest is Taylor Anthony as we discuss Babylon 5 Season 2 episode 10, "Hunter, Prey"

My true fashion essence can be summed up with one word. That word is "housecoat".

I'm holding off Hades 2 for after getting through silksong and UFO 50 cherries.
There's a new article at mikeslater.com on Babylon 5 Captain Sheridan's Sharner/Picard index. It's a companion piece for tomorrow's podcast episode of 'You Gotta Check This Out!" with Jaina Mistry.

Time out of mind is a true beast to play and sing on piano. Everything is syncopated and constantly shifting roles between left hand, right hand and voice. Looking forward to getting this one down for the Steely Dan series.
Just released my favorite episode of the podcast to date with Evynne Stitely. We discuss performing improv and how it relates to writing. You Gotta Check This Out!

@nerdnumbers.com and I are doing a Babylon 5 podcast. I can't believe how spot on the entire plot feels. Right down to the slow burn rise of a fascist police state.
Two days, two shows. So overjoyed to be using the fretless tonight at Double Clutch Evanston
First episode of the Babylon 5 podcast with a featured guest is out now. This week, Dre and I welcome Carin Slater from the "Geek Out! with Megan and Carin" podcast to the show.

This week, we discuss Signs & Portents from Season 1 of Babylon 5.

Holy close encounter. Highland Park is where my cover band gigs. Thanks for the tip. With all the jingoistic tropes in country, it's easy to forget it's a storytelling medium. And everyone has a story.

This meme expresses the hopelessness that government workers feel. We are enemies of the people, according to our own bosses. Violence against us is tacitly (or explicitly) sanctioned.

Black-majority places, and public health workers, in particular.
RFK Jr. on television inspecting a broken window at the CDC. A chyron reads "Breaking news at 11: HHS directory inspects his handiwork"
Andy was curious, so we watched "Captain America 4: The Rulkening : The incredible Hulk 2". Figuring out if it gets last place on MCU power rankings or Quantamania holds the title.
Whatever you do, don't tell Dre.
Bass serendipity. I brought a fretless to a first rehearsal, no songlist. Singer called out "Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes".
I'm always a bit surprised that r/frontend and r/backend are honestly forums for developers
