The air is thick with chiggers. I’m always scratching. We slap mosquitoes off our arms, walking, always walking along I-35, hoping to see a car, hoping to get out of the sun or the rain or the wind, hoping to find a place without bugs. No such luck. From: Dead Trees in Ponds. #speclit

Writer friends: What are your thoughts on the word "that?" I hear it when people speak (in life, not fiction) all the time. "What do you think of that?" "That's the best I've ever seen." As a nonspecific particular, is it as bad as "all that" in writing? (Image by Mahbub Hasan from Pixaby).
