I'm just bummed my art posts aren't getting the likes, reposts and comments I used to get. That's what I personally value more. The reason I post my art online is to have other people see it. Otherwise I wouldn't post it at all.

That being said I definitely don't want to diminish the achievements of others in reaching their follower milestones. You've earned those followers. You should feel good about it!

I don't think artists should confuse follower counts with real engagement. A lot of the time people will follow you and never interact with your content again. Many followers will also be b⭕ts or people trying to sell you something. Sadly it's just how the internet is now.

The low engagement my art was getting and the current state of my country was making me feel terrible. So I stopped drawing. Weeks went by, when I finally felt like picking up my stylus, everything I drew was garbage. I hated everything I drew. It was like my creativity and skill had vanished.
