While I do believe that the overlocalization and white washing of various anime that companies like 4Kids and Saban did years ago was horrible, they were very good at doing what they did, and that was marketing towards kids. They had very few genuine flops and were successful in their game.

Trails in the Sky is actually making me feel like I’m going insane because Estelle has genuine reservations about Olivier joining the party because he’s creepy and openly thirsting over Joshua but every other character acts like she’s being ridiculous about it

One of my favorite gags in OG Dragon Ball is when Goku accuses Bulma of being a witch and putting a spell on Oolong
and then Bulma just says “Goku if I was a witch then what would I need the Dragon Balls for” and Goku’s like “oh yeah.”
