I've cut out 78 of 360 cards for playtesting my game. Such a nightmare. I hate it. My hand is sore.

Yet, I'm still very excited to be moving forward. I missed the initial deadline I set for myself, but I'm only a couple weeks behind and still feeling motivated.

Very fair. Of course, there's a big difference between bad art and stolen art. One is annoying but mostly harmless, and the other is evil. Really, WOTC shouldn't ever have chosen to work with someone who uses AI art at any level. Even if this is just under worked and underrendered, it's a bad look.

Not to defend AI art, fuck that, but AI detectors are notoriously wonky and make incorrect judgements all the time.

That said, WOTC should press them and confirm and then make a statement because either they're okay with AI usage now, it's not AI, or they didn't realize and were fleeced.

It's rare to have a franchise where one specific entry is always going to be the best on boarding point, but Soul Calibur II does absolutely crush that.

Plan to start going to locals soonish, but the buzz is there. People seem to enjoy the IP, and the gameplay is very accessible and easy to learn. Overall, I'm positive on it, but we're also on set one and games, and their companies need time to settle. I wouldn't abandon a game for it at this time.

I think the game is fun. The 1v1 mode is engaging in the few games I've played, and the multi-player mode is interesting. Going to get to play that this week. Rarity system is okay. As always, for new TCGs, the biggest issue is supply, so prices are ridiculous. Starter deck experience is good.
