Life is a shelf.

A shelf partly filled with sketchbooks. Some of the sketchbooks are hand-made, some stained and dog-eared.

Some of the books are filled with paper that felt just right. Others were experiments that failed or overreaches, made of materials you weren’t ready to master quite yet.

What would my life have been like if I'd slept more?

I would have been awake less. Had less time to write and, ironically, dream. But maybe I sleep enough.

I love the experience of going to bed with a dilemma or a half formed thought and waking up with a solution, clear as morning light.

After launching my new course, I felt an overwhelming urge to clean. To create order from chaos.

There's something satisfying about putting everything back where it belongs. About disposing of the broken and unused. About knowing exactly where that tube of cerulean blue went to hide.
