if all you've used out of Skeetdeck is the thread posting functionality, then I've spun up an alternative app you can use, posteing.pages.dev.

this app is much more manageable for me to maintain as it's really just that one functionality.

if I were to be honest, I don't think I have it in me currently to maintain this app properly.

I'll keep it running for the time being but once OAuth becomes the standard for logins, you won't be able to login to Skeetdeck anymore.

bear in mind that this is still far in the future.

so sorry this took a while, unfortunately I've just not been able to do anything with Skeetdeck as of late, especially since it's never been a project that's intended to make me money (honest)

Heya, just a small little update.

I've updated the thread composer, raising the limits for self-threads from 9 posts to 25 posts.

Hopefully that's reasonable, based on what I've seen so far, cheers!

Hey y'all, you should be able to access your direct messages from Skeetdeck if you sign in again but this time with an app password that has "allow access to direct messages" toggled on during creation.

OTA update has been pushed and you can now make app passwords with access to direct messages 🎉🎉🎉

That said, you'll still be able to access it if you use your actual password.

Not that I'd recommend it, but the option is there.
