You examine the S. John closely, but find only a small tag proclaiming him a product of the Frobozz Magic Game Designer Company. Trusty GM, Hammondal, Risus, Uresia, Fonts, Maps. Long ago I did stuff for GURPS, LUGTrek, Citybook, d20 Star Wars, Hero, etc.

Gotta let Banner handle the cord stuff, Hulk. Taking care of USB jacks isn't really in Hulk's wheelhouse.

It is definitely not wrong. I want to do at least 75% of those, too.

Seven in my first week, even! After that it slowed down a little 😆 The shop also gave me a job, so i just lived there, basically, until the owner retired to Nevada. 😭

University game club is also excellent, though! You still get that essential __community,__ and variety.

I became a gamer at a game and comic store with a busy RPG club, so in my first two years there (and at the two other shops in town) I played 30 or 40 different RPGs, which was, I have learned since then, really very lucky.

Several hundred RPGs later, I now appreciate it. 🥰

The game that blew the doors off for me wasn't indie at all, it was Ghostbusters 1st ed ... and it's my favorite RPG to this very day. 🥰

Of the hundreds of RPGs that have really shaped me as a gamer and raised my standards for what an RPG can be, it's the beacon.

I am absolutely gutted to hear of the death of Rob Wieland, literally one of the greatest tabletop reviewers and commentators we had. Tirelessly tracked industry news, omnipresent in our collective circles and communities. I am so sad for his young family. These are dark days, friends.

I started on Marvel Superheroes and played 7 different RPGs in my first week as a gamer ... but the question still makes perfect sense to me.

Personally I've never found indie RPGs to my taste because there are hundreds of trad RPGs keeping me fed, but I get the question.

Aw 🥰

(I don't consider it indie personally but I'll take it)

I've not yet met the indie RPG that I can love but I remain hopeful that I will someday 🙏

There are so many things available in "spicy chili squid" flavor and it always makes me smile.

A million years ago I made this very silly wordfill puzzle by way of Paranoia RPG fan-document.

All so you could download and play it, for The Computer, friend to all.

I hate that Byrne turned out to be a creep because I _survived_ on his comics as a kid. They were oxygen.

That's one of those songs that gets stuck in my head about ten times a year.

Plus one, this year, thanks to this post. 😆

Day 12: SNEAK 😘

#SuperBatober #Harlivy #Inktober #inktober2025
SUPERBATOBER 12: SNEAK -- A little break from Batgirl and Supergirl antics to allow Poison Ivy to plant a little surprise kiss on Harley Quinn's cheek. Ivy has another gift-wrapped surprise (of the cartoonish bomb variety) for Harley hidden behind her back. I wonder what they're celebrating?

I love pretty much everything about that show but if it were ONLY about the Hendrixes, I would happily watch it just for the adventures of Alison and Donnie.

And it's tricky, because healing is good, unity is good.

But the last time around we allowed that to create a kind of shelter where this stuff could go right back to growing. Pridefully even.

It's going to be challenging to find the balance that lets us heal but that keeps them ashamed.

Yeah, they should be shamed for life. My worry is that we'll repeat one of the mistakes that got us here.

In the aftermath of the Civil War there was this push for national unity that led to softening what had happened, mythologizing, apologism. No shame, just "bygones" in the name of healing.

Oh damn, Diane Keaton. For those of us who were kids in the 70s and 80s, the most human human in so many ways, a model of who you could grow up to be, or grow up to love, or both.

It’s remarkable to realize Diane Keaton created a signature look and sensibility back in the 1970s and for about half a century continued to be a creative inspiration for how to be yourself in a world that tries so hard to put you in a box. Well done, Diane Keaton. RIP.

I will echo friends in saying on this National Coming Out Day: If you can’t come out safely, it’s okay not to. You’re still valid, and you still matter. Stay safe and our community will get through this looking out for each other. ✌🏻🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
