I shot 1168 images in three hours of people fighting with longswords today. Going back tomorrow. Need to slow down. It was fun! Shot with manual focus lenses. It was hard, but I got the handle of it pretty quick.

Nicolas Levy explains why he doesn’t shoot in hiding—he’s there with the person, sharing the moment, building the photograph together.

Part of my ongoing project «Photographers of Oslo». The full video with Nicolas Levy will be out soon on YouTube!

Walked outside of Stortinget where Vebjørn Bjelland Berg was being thrown out by the police. He is on a hunger strike to get the norwegian government to start phasing out oil and gas. This is day 21 on hunger strike.

What people have told me on how to do photography: 👇

- Never have a black or a white point in your image. You should be able to see the spots on the sun and Satan himself in the blackest depths of hell!

- Never shoot higher than the base ISO. If you do, you’ll ruin your photos with noise!
