my favorite new vegas memory is on release. i was at the goodsprings cemetery, looking at new vegas. it was night and she was all lit up. heartaches by the number was playing

i will never forget being 9 and coming home from school, grabbing my wrapped copy after it came in the mail, and playing it for the rest of the day (and year. and onward)

for christmas, with the help of my parents, i dressed up as a ranger and went to school like that. i still have the trench coat

fought between this and Fake Plastic Trees, but settled on this gut-wrenching and dreary song because, unlike other Radiohead songs, there is absolutely no hope in sight. nada. not a fucking bit. and i LOVE it. the live version from Yokohama 1995 is just as incredible
