Starting off with a post I can pin to my profile.
Here are some of my favorite cross stitch patterns I've designed. Y'know, to give you an idea of what kinda designs to expect from my profile in the future. πŸ™‚

Basically, expect both nerdy and pop culture designs as well as some fun original ones!
Back look a bit different than the front? That's because this was done on printed aida. So while the front is a cool stormy gray, the back is just white!

It's a lil weird working with printed aida, I kinda get jump scare when I flip it over to tuck in my ends, lol. πŸ˜‚
Been a while since I did a flatfold. So naturally I had to make a new one! Plus this'll fit in great with my library decor. πŸ₯°

One of my favorite quotesfrom Edgar Allan Poe. Maybe not as
well known as The Raven, but I'm hoping some of you
will know it. πŸ™‚
Good news! I did remember to film myself making this week's flatfold.
Bad news: It's kinda terrible picture quality and I can't re-film it. πŸ˜‚

I'll still be releasing the tutorial this week, but am apologizing in advance for the footage 🀣
A bit more muted of a color palette than I usually work with! All browns and blues. Not the most exciting palette, but I'm hoping it'll make for a really nice cohesive design.

What kinda visuals do you get from these colors?
I haven't done as much halloween stuff this year, (It's just been so busssyyy) but here's a look back at one of the ones I designed in previous years! And yes it gloes in the dark! πŸ‘€
The Alice pattern is now on Etsy! And don't forget there's a video on how I made it into a book!

I'm definitely wanting to make another stitched book.
Dunno when exactly I'll get to it, or which book. But it'll happen.
Y'all! @needlelotdesigns.bsky.social's book is officially up for preorders! I am SO hype for this book, you've no idea.

All the preorder links are over on her website: www.needlelotdesigns.com/pages/fantas...
Was not expecting that restart mid gradient, (pesky knots!) but it totally works for the hat brim.
I learned to knit October last year. And made exactly two hats.

...I've made nothing since. So despite minimal experience, I decided I was an expert already and I should try something new entirely and learn brioche. πŸ˜‚ I've only had to frog and restart twice! And I learned how to add lifelines lmao.
This week's pattern is also on printed aida. It's so weird to look at up close but it looks wonderfully stormy from a distance. The camera does not pick up the glitter AT ALL though. It is sparkly. I promise. Imagine the sparkle.
Today, the backside of my lost druid. While I wanted those scattered stars and leaves above, I also tried to keep them close enough together to be able to stitch the black outline in one single path without having to jump long distances.
I did have to stop and start again for the stars though. πŸ˜‚
An interesting lil pattern for you this week, inspired by those skull-shaped planters I kept seeing everywhere.
So here's my take on them, in the style of the small ornament designs. I had a lot of fun stitching that leafy hair!
Been a while since I made a flatfold project. Might be around time to making another! ;)
The tutorial is of course on my website, but I think a video tutorial might be helpful too, so I might film it if I make another!

Another Monday, another color palette. Some nice greens and browns this time around, with a pop of yellow.

A very simple palette, but with hopefully a lot of impact!
I love doing smalls like this for holidays as they make such cute ornaments that you can easily display then store once the holiday season is over. πŸ‘€
But then I know others enjoy large pieces they can work on all season.
Which do you prefer?
This week's WIP shot is just outlines. And you can kinda already see where I'm going with this I think. πŸ˜… πŸ‘€πŸ’€

With shoutouts to BeStitchMe for this gorgeous aida. I'm using 16ct 'Princess'.
Really? a lot of the feeds I've seen pull keywords from posts and alt text rather than relying on hashtags πŸ€”
lol thanks. I've still no idea how Bsky works πŸ˜‚ I don't see a lot of posts with hashtags so I figured they don't get used much.
This month's website article is all about fraying fabric and the various methods you can use to keep your fabric nice and neat. From machine stitching to hand stitching to adhesives.

Which methods did I miss?

loooove those sleeeves!
That made such a fun pattern!!
And of course I took photos of the back before turning it into a book!
This went through sooo much 310, lol. Especially because I used 3 strands on the 310 so it'd have good coverage (and 2 strands for the rest)

Pretty thrilled with how this came out, though!
I've been meaning to do a cross stitch book cover. So naturally I skipped that step and went straight to completely rebinding a book. πŸ˜‚
That's right. I wanted to know if you could use aida as book cloth and decided to rebind this copy of Alice in Wonderland to find out. Such a fun experiment!
This month's cross stitch palette cleanser was a relatively quick crochet blanket. Basically, I had a bunch of random super soft blanket yarn I got for free and wanted to use it up. And so I jammed them all together into this. And it worked out pretty okay. πŸ˜‚
