Also neurodivergence. 15 years of failed MH treatment and not one of the many professionals I saw considered checking me for the undiagnosed ADHD it turns out was a huge factor.
Seconded. 20+ years later and I'm still tryna work out how normal people operate 😅
Probably not all that niche overall but feels it based on the majority of conversations I seem to have these days: if you don't need my personal data but insist on collecting it anyway I will no longer be a customer of yours
George is the only one who doesn't act like a tough guy but could probably still fold most people's clothes while they were still wearing them. Plus he seems like a nice guy to spend time with after the bodies have stopped twitching.

I've actually been back over what's been said and removed my comments because I realised I'd misread Theo's post about bsky as a platform. I was too reactive earlier, took things personally when not intended, something I try to avoid being for the most part, and then doubled down with my meme post.
I meant I was the one tempted to join in, I've had a few of your videos recommended but hadn't got round to watching them. Either way, see my latest reply, I've deleted that meme
I'm not sure I've come across a creator / online personality who cares so much about feedback yet does so much work to alienate people who might otherwise have been tempted to join in. Someone said Google sucks and should be taken away from the techbros and you told them they needed therapy.
My next move being to roll in a TV screen showing why I was actually right all along will help much after that...
I could just take it as it is and leave if I don't think I've been treated fairly, or I could, in that same room, say out loud for everyone to hear "and this is why I never come here." I doubt that would do wonders for my popularity
Oof ok. Imagine this is a meatspace instead of online. A community centre with public access for example. Now imagine I walk into that space with some idea I have. The responses could land anywhere on the +ve to -ve access, yeah? Now imagine I don't like some of those responses...
I don't disagree with your statement but I'd like to suggest a parallel factor depending on what you mean by "support structures": I personally think the loss of community is as much if not more of a problem than any kind of program/resource made available by government
Cishet white male and I've wondered this myself. Legacy media shows us a world that no longer exists that would have had us at the centre. New media seems to want to constantly remind us that we've lost that spot. Doesn't excuse a shift back towards hatred in any way though.
Not a terrible take. They're fucking boring as standalone flowers. I think I like what they represent more than them. A concept blossom.
Peachy is the entire reason we must resist, rise up, figHT BACK, CRUSH OUR ENEMIES, SEE THEM DRIVEN BEFORE YOU AND HEAR THE LAMENTATION OF THEIR WOMEN
Seriously, the value of human life seems to be at an all-time low rn, and the cryptobro echo chamber has been brainwashing insiders into believing any kind of financial loss is weakness and the fault of the person incurring it. This whole structure needs to go away very soon.

It's a good thing that Musk was able to get gender affirming care😏
Or perhaps the tide will change entirely and people will have to move away from the energy-heavy tech industry as we start having to pay more to keep it running. I tend to believe there is a bubble, I could well be wrong, but if there is and it bursts the tech bros will only have themselves to blame
If you do that you build trust, and it attracts more customers because the results are provable and repeatable. If a product has an "act now before it's too late!!" aura to it I don't trust it as far as I can throw it
Sure, the company I worked for had the advantage of being solid as a rock, so didn't need to keep up as much as a less mature company would, but they also learned the hard way that chasing growth and profit leads to risks, and focusing on making a product that customers love is the secret to success
"If you wait to long you may be left behind." This is my big issue on the way the business world has trended over time. Sure there's always been money to be made by early investment in new tech if it's a good product, but everything about modern business screams predatory "trust me bro" mentality
My question: has anyone made a website where you can search a company you use and see a list of ethical alternatives?
I should've done this sooner but the inconvenience involved was a real barrier, and I'm sure this is the case for a lot of people. Take it from me, it's worth going through it. The relief afterward when you realise you're no longer feeding the machine that's consuming us all is enough of a reward.
I recently made the decision to move away from products and services provided by companies that are shady, predatory or just garbage. It's taken a while because I knew there would be pain involved in switching to an alternative, either in the switch itself or in having to use an inferior replacement
