IT'S FINISHED! It's wonky & wobbly but I love it. Been washed, needs an iron. I think I'm going to get a round frame
A completed OFMD embroidery showing Stede dangling over the side of the boat. Roach & the Swede are on deck looking exasperated. It's all in long & short stitch with a single thread, apart from Stedes cuffs which are a textured stitch I made up as I went along. Same embroidery with my hand for scale A close up on Stede, Roach & the Swede Close up on Stede. His buttons are French knots with metallic thread so really sparkle.

While the postcard version has a digitally painted full color background to simulate the look of parchment, this special edition print is just the black line work printed on an "aged parchment" paper. Looks pretty neat, if I say so myself (and I do) 😉
