Just finishing up reading the first Murderbot novella. www.goodreads.com/book/show/32.... While I enjoyed the Apple TV adaption and am looking forward to season 2, I'm enjoying the novella more. Maybe because I haven't read a lot of Sci-Fi recently. Anyway - a great read.

Finally got my new @logitech MX Master 4. It's not revolutionary - but it does feel very nice. And my old MX3 was losing it's charge very easily. Was a bit of fuss setting up the new receiver, which of course is not compatible with the old. But otherwise very smooth.

Ordered a MX Master 4 on Amazon. It won't arrive until the 2nd of November, and it's now showing as out of stock on Amazon and the Logicools site. Guess I'm not the only replacing an aging MX3

so irritating that windows 11 still sneakily tries to set the default browser to Edge - after installing updates and seemingly at other times also. No - I don't want Edge to be my default browser !!!

trying out the new cli version of Cline code - and while it's great they have released one, has a few issues still
- if the cli gets stuck, it can't restore the state
- highlighting markdown lists in red is a bad idea - maybe it's trying to render then as .diff format ?

I was away for the wkend, saw the noise about BTC and cryptos meltdown Friday, but resolved not to worry about it until returning. Checking my portfolio today - it turns out things aren't so bad after all. Unlike seemingly most of crypto X I don't have the majority of my holdings in levered perps 😀

I like to read books, but sometimes searching takes me more time than reading. So, like a real programmer, I spent more hours automating this process! I created a #Python web scraping script to find books online and wrote a post about it.

I've been using @marimo.io a bit lately. Had been wanting to give it a go for while, and had a chance this last week. So far very impressed. A few rough edges and gotchas but once you get a good handle on the design principles, it makes more sense. this : marimo.io/blog/lessons... was a big help.
