The Blue Jays beating Ohtani and Snell at Chavez Ravine in consecutive games after that slow-motion death march is one of the guttiest things I've ever seen
While I like each of them individually, if I ever again have to watch repeated at bats of a lineup featuring Myles Straw, Tyler Heineman, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Andres Gimenez, I may need to be institutionalized. Like watching 1000 kids in a row try and fail to smash a pinata.

Only 4 pitchers have recorded a Pitcher’s Cycle — striking out every batter in the opposing lineup — in the World Series:

Trey Yesavage, 2025 G5
Randy Johnson, 2001 G2
Bob Gibson, 1968 G1
Jesse Barnes, 1921 G6
Trey Yesavage struck out all 9 Dodgers at least once tonight, a feat that Herm Krabbenhoft dubbed a “pitcher’s cycle”

TREY YESAVAGE

12 strikeouts
No walks

That’s the most strikeouts by a pitcher in a World Series game with no walks

Trey Yesavage: 7IP, 3H, 1 ER, 0BB, 12K in Game 5 of the World Series.

I think this could be the best and most important start in Blue Jays history. 22 year old rookie.

I believe that is the first time Trey Yesavage has thrown 100 pitches in a game as a professional

Weird watching a home game without Mark.

Spirited performance but a bit naive conceding goals / not adapting brilliantly to playing against 10

There’s a lot there for a new manager to work with, small tweaks not big changes needed

Hamer is still class, O’Hare fairly ineffective today
