@samkurd.bsky.social I’ve just got around to playing/finishing Lost Records: Bloom and Rage and I highly recommend it, if you can ever pick it up when you can afford a treat or it’s on sale or something. Swann is basically Max Caulfied but with a ‘95 camcorder, but I love her far more

Lady Jane Grey’s husband was called Guildford Dudley. Do you think they actually called him Guildford? Or did they only call him by his surname of Dudley? What could you shorten Guildford to anyway?

I know 2 people who have legally changed their names, or parts of their names, and neither was because of gender changing reasons. Heck one was because her parents decided to give her 4 middle names, and she had a triple barrelled surname. Try fitting 8 names on official forms.
normalize name changes for anyone tbh. even if you're not trans, you should be able to just choose a name you feel good about and not have it be a big deal
