How do you manage to balance this? I've not been in this industry long relative to others but it's always a struggle for me. I've resorted to putting the implications in docs and sharing with as many folks who need to know if I can't change anything.

I don't know how the tech work culture got that way. The things that are rewarded the most are refactoring to the newest thing the fastest. Being communal and understanding how changing things affect others and trying to account for that somehow gets you point deductions.

Happy Thursday, sky folk. Looking for a good resource on tuning jdbc I/O tasks and data flow params for a beam migration pipeline I'm working on. I've tried all the obvious things, but it still takes about 2 hours on something I think shouldn't. Also already checked DB settings, locks and such. 😔
