I’ve already come this far, she thinks to herself. Fuck it.

She closes the remaining gap between them, and her lips finally meet his.

His mouth is warm against hers. Jean-Luc is frozen, and when she pulls away a second later, she’s pretty sure she’s messed up, if his expression is any indication.

Bluey can feel her throat closing up, an apology already on her lips. His eyes are so wide, and his jaw is practically on the floor in surprise.

And then the hands on her hips rise up to grab her face, and Jean-Luc crushes his lips against hers with surprising force. Bluey is left to gasp in shock.

In seconds he has her pinned against the wall, pulling her towards him like he can’t get enough. His lips don’t leave hers as he deepens the kiss, and Bluey groans into his mouth. He swallows the noise with another kiss, tongue slipping into her mouth.

Bluey can hardly believe this is actually happening as Jean-Luc presses closer, one of his knees slotting between her thighs. The movement draws a moan from her lips, and he kisses her again, both of them nearly panting at each and every touch.

Jean-Luc gets a glass of deep red wine, and Bluey ends up with a cocktail. Bluey takes a sip and winces at the strength of it. “Bit of a heavy pour on this,” She comments.

…It’s so easy to talk to him like this, Bluey realizes. The conversation flows easily between them as the minutes turn to hours. The drinks keep coming, both dogs slowly coming more and more under the influence.

The sun is setting over the city, casting everything in a warm orange glow as Bluey and Jean-Luc sit on the steps of the Sacre Coeur Basilica - or, for Bluey’s sake, the Sacred Heart Church.

“Yeesh, it’s chilly this high up,” the blue heeler comments.

“Do you need another sweater?” Jean-Luc asks, reaching for the hem of the one he’s wearing as though he’s considering taking it off.

“I’m fine,” Bluey promises, “I’ll get used to the cold one day.” Still, she shifts closer to him on the step until she’s pressed against his side. As if on instinct, Jean-Luc wraps his arm over her shoulder to pull her closer, tucking her against his warm black fur.

“Better?”

“Yeah, loads better.”

The ceremony itself is quick, and of course in French, though despite being left out of the loop both Bluey and Otto end up in tears, passing one of Bluey’s handkerchiefs back and forth to wipe at their eyes as the bride and groom finally lean in for a kiss.
The room bursts into cheers, the newly wed couple holding each other in a loving embrace. Then Adele pulls away and shouts, “Tout le monde a ses skis!”
