the modern pursuit of minimalism is purely based on a misconception of what makes a great design great
an UNO card is incredibly minimal, hardly anyone ever describes it as that, bc that’s never what it’s been about, it’s about character, authenticity & integrity

windows is the only operating system that would manage to do something as stupid as randomly ask you unprompted whether you want to turn off notifications for their built in screenshot tool that works through notifications

the corner-shape spec is so sloppy
superellipse corner shapes have a very distinct squircle look and do not look like a neutral rounded rectangle with continuous corners at all, which I have to assume is what they were aiming for

I think AR is gonna have a much bigger impact on the future than AI
we just haven’t quite figured it out yet
it’s gonna go so much beyond movies and games
it’s an entirely new medium

I need Apple to add lens blur to their UI so bad, our eyes don’t put a sheet of frosted glass in front of our eyes when something is out of focus, they defocus like a lens would (because we have lenses)
