I call this one of my "It's not pretty but..." photos. Because it's not pretty but there's something about this little robber fly that I find appealing.

This is the shot I've been waiting for! After watching #monarchs eclose the last few weeks, I finally caught one as it dropped out of the chrysalis. It only takes a few more minutes for the blood and other fluids to pump from its body to its wings - #nature is amazing!

At first glance, I thought I missed this shot but the more I look at it, the more I like the way the #hummingbird is framed up inside the vine.

Last week I watched a #Monarch zip around my #milkweed, laying eggs. This week, I've been zipping around the #garden, taking pics of caterpillars. This flower is literally the size of a pea, just to get a little perspective.
