Here's Milo the second main character from my comic, and sketches demonstrating that i did, in fact, restrain myself in the forehead department with him.

Miło, one of the main characters from my comic standing there, next to him are several pictures showing different stages of his life:
- at the bottom baby milo sitting on his uncle's lap fishing
-in the middle ID pictures from the time Milo had a lot of piercings and a pointy collar
- at the top, he s taking a a selfie, with his boyfriend Bug in the background eating an ice cream cone.

In a nuclear apocalyptic world, a hot dog finds himself without a home after being cryopreserved. With the help of a ketchup and mustard bottle, he learns how to become a clown to (hopefully) get a job and rejoin society.

I've talked about it before but I thought I'd share Laura's inspirations again. The minor ones are less direct and more vibe based, I was watching a lot of sh2 and listening to a bunch of cain while working on the comic 🩸

Major inspirations: a guest in the house by em carroll, we have always lived in the castle by shirley jackson, the yellow wallpaper by charlotte perkins gilman, and twilight new moon by stephenie meyer. Third read of #sbcf 2025: Self-Preservation Instinct by Nushanchel. Maybe a romance, or maybe just a story about solidarity among outsiders. The art here is a real standout: wisping between cartoony fantasy and abstraction. I love how space is warped and twisted on certain pages
