Met a man who was wearing a very sparkly Sailor Moon shirt this morning. He asked if I spoke Creole or was a Christian but didn’t wait for my answer. He introduced himself as Big Gary but he was only around 5’7”. Nice fellow though. Shook his hand before he trundled back down Rideau.

They’ll sell a guitar to anyone. There’s no waiting list. No safety course. No instructions for safe handling. You can just take it home and create any sounds you like. Make up songs and then go out and play them to the public and nobody will care. They’ll barely notice at all. Believe me.

My postseason this autumn will include physical training and a major goal is to walk on St. Patrick’s Day next spring without a limp. Then ride bikes to Opening Day in May. Attend shows to pass the winter because of music. Reasonable goals for an aging punkrocker.
