I’ll be honest, this A-Comic-A-Day is going to be just a comic I like because I’m knackered and really want to go to bed.
Captain Britain is one of the first superheroes I liked. I think I’ve said that before.

Yesterday’s A-Comic-A-Day was Arcadia with The Question as one of three featured title characters. I’ve not read too many comics with The Question in. If my memory serves, the Renee Montoya version appeared in the series 52…

Batman/Green Arrow/ The Question: Arcadia is a new DC Black Label title and today’s A-Comic-A-Day.
Saw this on the shelf in the comic shop yesterday and bought it because it looked cool. And it is.

Hello everyone at @montecookgames.com , hope you're well.
Today in my local UK comic/game shop I asked about them getting one of your Cypher books in for me and was told that they couldn't get them at the moment and also that they weren't getting any replies to direct queries. 1/2

A-Comic-A-Day...
Only because today I bought an issue of the latest DC/Marvel crossover, here's one of the earlier examples, DC vs. Marvel.

When I was trying to think of a book for this A-Comic-A-Day, my mind went to the original run of Uncanny X-Men and the first issue I thought of was #268.
I had such fun reading about the X-Men during Chris Claremont’s run and 268 was unashamedly cool.

A-Comic-A-Day…
Today on Bluesky I saw a recommendation for a webcomic called Girl Genius. I now can’t find that post (Screenshot! Must remember to screenshot!), but the description sounded like my sort of thing and I wanted to read more webcomics.

Here on A-Comic-A-Day, we’ve recently been spoiled for Liam Sharp @liamsharp.bsky.social comics and today is no different as we feature Spawn: The Dark Ages issue 1 from @imagecomics.com
I think I’ve said before that I haven’t been a Spawn reader for decades…

A-Comic-A-Day…
Sometimes I just browse things and find stuff that I want to look at further. This time, I found All Select Comics #11 from 1946 and a character called The Blonde Phantom. Louise Grant is a masked hero who wears a floor-length evening gown and high heels… because why wouldn’t you.

In an episode of The Thinking Atheist podcast @thethinkingatheist.com Seth Andrews @sethandrews.com reads Isaac Asimov's excellent short story, 'The Last Question'.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Today on A-Comic-A-Day, we have Tales of the Green Lantern Corps Annual (1981) #2. This is the issue that contains the one-shot story by Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill, ‘Tygers’.
This is the little tale that spawned a thousand Green Lantern plots.

A-Comic-A-Day…
Fantastic Four Verses The X-Men. Superheroes against superheroes. I’m sure it was all a misunderstanding and not just to bring in readers…

Today, I was reminded of the comic series ‘Kill Or Be Killed’, written by Ed Brubaker, art by Sean Phillips, colour art by Elizabeth Breitweiser. And so another A-Comic-A-Day.
It’s been long enough that I remember the basic story and how much I enjoyed it, but I’ve forgotten the details.

This A-Comic-A-Day comes unashamedly off the back of watching a Comic Tropes @comictropes.bsky.social video (I’ll link to it below) about comic creator Richard Corben.
I thought the Hellboy story, The Crooked Man was my first Corben, but now I realise I’d read Haunt of Horror before that.

I was going to do something else for this A-Comic-A-Day, but I’ve just come off an online course session and now don’t really have enough time to read what I was going to read. So instead, in the spirit of needing to reorder my time, here’s a collected edition of the Life is Strange comic.

Another A-Comic-A-Day… Wednesday Comics was an anthology title published in a newspaper format. Love me an anthology and I loved the newspaper feel of it. A really nice comic to read.
I don’t remember the stories now – it’s been a while – so it’s probably time for a reread.

It’s A-Comic-A-Day and I’ve just read Liquidator from Mad Cave Studios @madcavestudios.com
It’s written by Peter Milligan, the artist is Piotr Kowalski, the colour artist is Brad Simpson and Simon Bowland is the letterer.

Adventure Comics #210 from 1955 is the first appearance of Krypto the superdog. I’ve made it this A-Comic-A-Day because, today, I was explaining the character to colleagues at work who don’t read comics.

I have more Die! And that makes me very happy. Die Loaded #1 is here.
If you’ve read my previous A-Comic-A-Day (It was back on June 29th) about how much I love the original Die series, it’s one of my favourites, you’ll get an idea of my joy.

Today’s A-Comic-A-Day is Sensation Comics issue 1 from 1942. It’s Wonder Woman’s second appearance, her first cover, the first appearance of her invisible plane, and the issue where she establishes her Diana Prince alternate identity.

For today’s A-Comic-A-Day I feel like doing another “This is just a comic book cover I like”.
And so I will.
This is Wow Comics issue 10 from 1943. The cover artist is Marc Swayze and I just like the art.

Today is Remembrance Sunday.
A few weeks ago in A-Comic-A-Day, I said that I hadn’t read an issue of Commando. I saw one in the shops this week and so now I have read issue 5903, The Lions of Ypres.
