I did get some time to let him explore in the room and play with him. he's PRECIOUS. he'd climb into my lap and chew on me while also flopping over a lot 🥺 I'd rile him up and we'd just play for a while

because he would calm down when I pet him and loved on him. he'd vibrate and whine a lil because he wanted out but the screaming paused so it turns out he just wanted attention 😭 I got so worried. here's the lil culprit

was sitting in the kennel building I'm working in today & suddenly heard this blood-curdling scream coming from the puppy room so I rushed over to make sure this tiny puppy was okay & didn't get his paw stuck or something & sure enough he was fine. he was just upset he wasn't outside or being held

luka told me that they fed some bell pepper to the pigs as a treat & when they picked up cheese and one point to check on him, he had a ring of red around his mouth 😭

just got to hold and meet this 8 week old belgian malinois puppy and oh my GOD. she melted my heart. crazy puppy breath & all she wanted to do was chew on me

I think about when we adopted jade and if I knew then what I knew now, I could easily say "oh yeah she's gonna grow a lot" because this was her as a baby. I can see multiple breeds in her & all of them are large. sure enough this is her today

a mix of big breeds like pit bull, lab, shepherd, etc. & I have to be like "they're going to get pretty large, most likely" & it's a surprising fact. to me they're Very clearly pittie pups or a mix of breeds where I can make out only big ones & I forget that's not common knowledge generally

it is also funny how I forget that most people don't have the knowledge of dogs that I do because I've had multiple instances of people looking at 6 week old puppies & asking "how big are they gonna get" with the hope that they'll stay small but the puppies in question are pretty obviously

and that's fine & all because there have been a lot of people who are quite interested in adopting. however I pretty much always have to say "you can start the process but you can't get the dog for 3 more days" so it's nice to be in one where, if adopted, I can see them go home today 🥹

have only interacted with the public in the 3 times I've been placed in the New Arrival dog kennel building which is where new dogs stay while they wait out their stray hold but it's also one of the closest kennel buildings to walk to so a lot of people stop by there

thought "that looks like the 21p symbol..." so I googled it to see if they ever released that specific blanket as merch & sure enough they did. guess we have a puppy who is part of the clique now

walked outside to throw something away and a husky who is outside was in the middle of howling (as usual) then stopped to stare at me. I was like "no girl you're talented keep it up"

it is insane how sweet they are to me & how wonderfully they take care of me. they'll do that and pack my lunches for work & do nice things for me when we have the opportunity. the actual love of my life

aggression is generally a learned & enforced trait. puppies are not born aggressive -- circumstances enforce it in them. stop regurgitating rhetoric that leads to these dogs being abused & killed

pitties are incredibly sweet + are notorious for how great they are with children. they have such a bad reputation due to the frequent cases of abuse against them & I will fight day in & day out to show how wonderful they truly are
