Again, what if we just didn't buy or talk about the shiny new game from the dog shit trillion dollar publisher that's trying to drive the industry into the ground while also actively supporting a genocide.
That would be super cool.
In a week we went from Trump feeling indifferent to the Canada/China trade deal, to threatening 100% tariffs.

I feel like one of his puppeteers has realized that they need us more than we need them.

US Gov't is playing a very dangerous game.

I bought Woolhaven despite the fact that I lost my Cult of the Lamb cloud save (which I had platinumed)... but it gives me an excuse to replay Cult of the Lamb.

What's the easiest pathway to subjugating a population in a country with a for-profit healthcare system?

Normalize removing ever preventative measure that would keep people healthy. Create a system where many are working for their lives. Literally.

Anger Foot had a lot of perf issues for me on PC.
Console seems to run well, the game is listed as PS5 Pro enhanced, aim assist with controller helps, and it does a good job using the haptics.

While the game isn't Hotline in First Person, it certainly has the same sort of gameplay "vibes"
I broke my no double dip rule.
To be sort of fair to myself, it was a $10 game that stopped running well when I moved to Linux.

LOL why is there a Direct coming for this bad movie sequel.

I may, against my better judgement, preorder Marathon.

- Bungie is great mechanically.
- Arc is too boring to look at.
- I have $50 for selling a board game I didn't really like.

Managed to sell 2 of my board games already.
Hopefully I can sell some more. I'm not really trying to get much money for them (IMO), just want the space back and most of these I'm not going to play again.

This is from the latest Slay the Spire news letter and illustrates why saying you need AI for placeholder art is absurd.
You're using AI because you don't want to replace the placeholder, and you're only doing it if you get caught.

In Persona games, the gap in difficulty between Normal and Easy feels immense. I can't fathom needing to play on Story. I can't imagine that would even be enjoyable.
I've been playing Reload on Easy, because I have zero interest in grind in a series where I feel the games are already too long.

Now that the White House is using AI to edit photos of their political opponents to create fascist propaganda I’m wondering if anyone could have seen this use of AI coming. Okay I’m hearing lots of people did and they were forced to watch corporations smother the masses with the technology anyways

Despite my cynicism towards the Sw2, I think there’s a bunch of games that while maybe not be objectively “best” on the platform…they certainly feel more at home there.
Ball x Pitt, Hades 2, Fantasy Life i are prime examples of this in my opinion.

I enjoyed this episode a lot.

Mentioned it before, but I didn't love the first season of JJK. S2, and S3 so far, have been excellent.
Tomorrow should be a very good episode of JJK.
Which should hopefully offset the whining about last weeks info dump episode.

Dawg, if you're going to take 3wks to respond to something, at least read the fucking request.

I mostly don't mind my job. It's the people that are the problem most of the time.

In case the gamers were not aware, you can... believe it or not, not buy the shiny new video game.
And also to be clear "Life is sad" is not a reason to support a company that would have Cobra Commander telling them that they're going a little too far.
MSFT is just straight up cartoon villains at this point.
I don't know how people give them money.

As the re-release/remaster/remake hater, I am glad that Sands of Time was canceled. I hope they cancel Black Flag too.

Politely requesting that we stop re-releasing games that no one asked to be re-released.

Nintendo releasing more Amiibo to clog up their retail presence sure seems like a choice.

:| Had to re-sign up for Facebook, because Marketplace is the only effective way to sell shit locally... and I want to clear out some of my board games.

Thinking about this some more, and if the major outlets could back away from intentional engagement bait OpEds, it would be an improvement.

I very intentionally did not link, because the writer doesn't deserve attention, because the piece is embarrassing.
In a perfect world, the entertainment press could be self-sustaining w/o having to rely on click driven nonsense, and people could treat entertainment as the art it's supposed to be... and write about the things they're actually passionate about...
Rather than an OpEd about Highguard.

Came to the sad realization this morning, that despite (attempting) to play through Persona 3 multiple times, this is the first time I've got far enough to have a 4th character in my party LOL

I think I’m also at an age where F2P just isn’t enjoyable.
I do not need an infinite gameplay loop that’s going to try and milk my wallet dry, while providing either subpar or excessively repetitive gameplay. Sometimes both.

Arknight Endfield has the same issue that all these gatcha games have…there’s essentially too much of everything, and most of it isn’t great. It’s overwhelming, almost intentionally. And for all the complexity, the game itself feels very shallow.
