Today I lost someone who was truly like a brother to me. I am gutted to the core. I guess I can say so now that it's on his Facebook page. He even listed himself as my actual brother on Facebook. Anyone who knows me knows how close we were. RIP, senpai. You will always be a ninja.

RPG review, embargo tomorrow
In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.
Yeah I consider this game quietly a part of the Heaven & Earth series even though it was more Shade’s gig than Quintet’s, very good stuff
Never get trapped in a hot take prison of your own design
Yeah I loved that one back when I reviewed it
Time to settle in and own the place
Might add more later but that’s a lot of reading for now! Go support independent authors and small publishing! Even one sale means the world when you’ve poured your heart into writing this kind of thing.
With the current fracas it feels weird to recommend a Bitmap book but with how it started, I think this is appropriate. If you like RPGs, you have to read The CRPG Book. No matter how much you think you know you’ll learn something here. From Felipe Pepe & many others.

Shameless plug for novel I edited: Toshie the Hero and the Orbs of Destiny is not a book about games, but if you like RPGs it’s a charming read. From the guy behind the Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta, Eric Koziol!
