This is such sad news to come home to. The emergence of The Stone Roses and Mani’s baselines provided the soundtrack to my and my friends formative years. And that first album is still an absolutely stand out era defining blindingly brilliant record

Gary “Mani” Mounfield, best known as a founding member and bassist of the Stone Roses, has died aged 63. The cause of death has not been shared.
