It worked. I used Insul-Bright layered in between thick quilt batting layers -- encased in Crypton Suede (for waterproofing).

Heat loss was greatly reduced. Will finish an insulated lid/pad to help the top of the bucket cuz folded bath towel isn't as ideal lol!

No time for fancy pics cuz I needed immediate use of the insulated cozy I just finished for a 5-gallon bucket.....

Not having any running hot water really really sucks tbh....

I just hope I used enough layers of insulative fabrics.....

I've gone from "temporarily wrap towels around buckets to insulate warm water" to "I will sew permanent insulated jackets for buckets cuz this problem keeps happening" 💀💀

Yeah...I'm not a solid sleeper (largely from being abused). Any sudden noises - even snoring - will wake me up.

I hate when he huffs at me that he "got it" & I have to tell him "No, you just pushed the mess into the rug & made my job double!" 🙃 he needed to stop when I said to stop

I don't mind if he wants to properly clean
But when he's in a rush for work & an accident happens, he panics.... and I end up cleaning half a house instead of just the accident 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Which is why I've TOLD him many times to just get me up to take care of such things ... ugh

His idea of having "cleaned" the rug was to leave big long streaking stain....

I got to clean the trash can & lid. The curtain (which I had to first soak in water I semi-boiled from the stove cuz we have no running hot water presently) & then throw curtain into wash machine to finish.

When he panic cleans, he manages to splatter the mess EVERYWHERE as he's slamming soiled paper towels into the trash can (and slamming the can lid too)

Despite having woken me up from the enormous noises he was making and I told him repeatedly to "STOP!" Cuz I WILL be cleaning the spill

Got woken up way too damn early cuz bro spilled a smoothie & made the mess worse trying to panic clean it rather than >.> leave it to me .....

Had to pull out the vacuum's carpet cleaning attachments & find the rug shampoo .... and a curtain is also in the wash 🙃

Admittedly.... I really should stop sitting on the floor.... if I was 20 yrs younger, my body wouldn't ache so bad trying to do this
